Formerly Caseys
You've probably thrown back a few beers at Yankee Lanes, but have you ever gone into the bar?
The sign still says Caseys, but Becky, the bartender, said the new name is Port City Sports Bar. It's not under new management, just revamped to be a the best place to watch the game. Or play a game.
The space is pretty big. And you can't help but become overwhelmed by the number of TVs - there are near 40! There's a mega-big one with a projector and booths with flat-screens on both sides for ultimate viewing.
Typically, I watch football at the Stadium where the bartender will put on the Steelers and allow me to swing my Terrible Towel and act a fool. I asked Becky if this would be allowed at the Port City Sports Bar and she confirmed.
She also called me by my first name and was incredibly hospitable. She mentioned that they try to make the place feel homey and comfortable. I like that.
Besides watching the game, you can play pool or rent the Wii system by the hour. Get the Sports Package - it includes golf, bowling, baseball, tennis, boxing and fishing. Or rent Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, Dance Dance Revolution or Fish Frenzy. My lovely companion and I played bowling. While it was ragingly fun, I felt like a poser since there were real, live people playing non-digital bowling just 30 feet away. But, I can honestly say that I scored a 189 at Yankee Lanes. Psht.
If you don't want to play Wii, watch the game on TV or bowl a real game, you can play some pool. There's word of dart boards being installed and leagues starting, but I'm not sure when. If you show up on Friday night, you can karaoke with the best of 'em. Or visit on Saturday for live bands.
As you can see in the pictures, the bar was empty when I attended on a Tuesday night near closing time. Becky assured me that it can get pretty busy when there's a game on TV or karaoke. She said there are all types of people who frequent the bar - sports fanatics, local construction workers, bowlers and gamers of all ages. The capacity sign says 100, but you could easily double that and still be comfortable. And comfort is what they're all about.

A small menu of pub food is available. Appetizers include French fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, nachos, chicken tenders, cheese quesadilla and soft pretzels ranging in price from $1.50-5.25.
Sandwiches include burgers ($5.25), grilled hot dogs ($2.25), clam cakes, pulled pork, caesar wrap, buffalo chicken wrap and BLT wrap ranging in price from $4.95-5.95.
You can also get wings - 6 for $4.25, 8 for $12.75, 12 for $8.50 or 24 for $17. Sixteen-inch pizzas cost $12.95, one topping $14.50, two $15.50. If you're living on the cheap, there's always fresh peanuts and popcorn for free. And you can throw the peanut shells on the floor like at the old Bleachers.

Reading your bar guide makes me wistful, Amy. Went out in Capitol Hill last weekend. Pitcher of Yuengling: $17. OHhhhhhhhhhh yeah.
