April 6: Tough game-time decisions
Gearing up for the the end of basketball season, I say goodbye to the squeaky shoes and hello to the sound of the bat, as the Red Sox season opener takes place the same day.
Will Michigan or UConn be going to the National Championship Finals? Villanova or UNC? Oh, the excitement cannot be contained!

With Josh Beckett as the starting pitcher against the Tampa Bay Rays and the Red Sox season opener starting at 2:05pm, April 6th is a tough day for sports fans everywhere. All those bets on the basketball games coming to a head and the opening day for the Sox. A true test of stamina- where will you be hanging out and can you make it through both games?
Here are my suggestions:
GR Dimillos

This bar has 6 large screen televisions and free steamed clams with any purchase. Their happy hour doesn't start till 4pm, but when it does, every drink in the house is .75 cents off.

With four televisions and 2 for 1 pizzas (no to go orders) starting at $5.50, you cannot go wrong if you are on a budget.
Invade the place (no specials at the time of calling) but worth checking out:

From 1:30 to 2:45, they will be at The Stadium giving away tickets during the first three innings. Located on 504 Congress Street, get yourself a $3 Sam Adams and pray to win.
Next stop on the pub crawl list is Thatchers, from 3pm to 4:15. FMI, go to www.thatcherspub.com or call 207-253-1808.
Start or end the baseball game at Stockhouse Restaurant and Sports Pub, featuring $3.50 Sam Adams and Sam Adams Summer or $5.50 talls. You'll be starved by now, so check out their 2 for 1 burger specials.
I doubt you'll have time for a nap in between games, so grab an energy drink and keep on going. Good luck!
