I know, I know - it's a drag that tickets to the Ani DiFranco show at Merrill Auditorium are so pricey. No one has $35 to spare. But you must have been a very good little worker bee this week 'cause Ani's putting on a freebie Friday show for folks just like you. She's playing at 1 pm at Bull Moose in Scarborough. Be there to meet her and sing along as a prelude to Record Store Day.

This might be the Friday night to get out of town. Point your car south on the pike and motor straight on until you reach the Biddeford exit. It's Art Walk in that city tonight from 5-8 pm (every fourth Friday) and everything's free. You have your pick between the two most popular sites - Biddeford City Theater on Main Street or River Tree Arts in the North Dam Mill - or a handful of other locations, including Loving Anvil on Washington Street and Lacava on Water Street.
