Super Furry Animals at the Paradise Rock Club - 2/23
Super Furry Animals played an exquisite show last Friday at the Paradise Rock Club, a well-established venue nested on the perimeter of Boston University. To my great relief, there was only one opening band, and they were very entertaining.

Yes, Super Furry Animals is a neo-psychedelic rock band from Wales, and they're going to rock the house at Paradise Rock Club tomorrow in Boston. My mom recently introduced me to the band's music and it's wonderful stuff. If you're a fan of The Flaming Lips, I highly suggest checking these guys out.

The Brooklyn/Massachusetts-trio Mobius Band just released a cover of Daft Punk's "Digital Love" on Stereogum. It's a really cool recreation of the original. Where Daft's version relies heavily on electronic instruments and manipulation, Mobius Band gives the song a very acoustic feel with interspersed digital elements.

Richard Thompson's "1,000 Years of Popular Music"
My dad took me down to Boston last Friday to see Richard Thompson at the Berklee Performance Center. Though I have never been a fan of Thompson's music, my interest in folk music has been growing for the past year or so. I have heard my dad play Richard Thompson throughout my entire life, and after that concert, I was converted into a folk-loving Richard Thompson fan.
