Tony Smokes

August 20, 2008

My band Tony Smokes and the Ladykillers plays Bluntfest tomorrow!

As if there weren't reason enough to go to Bluntfest, Tony Smokes and the Ladykillers will be playing as the opening act.

My band has come a long way from the beginning of the year. We have began recording tracks for our album as we prepare for our most comprehensive live set yet. The recordings are coming out very tight so we're more energetic than ever about our performances.

Here's a video from our performance of "Jellylegs" at The Big Easy Battle of the Bands show:

The doors for Bluntfest @ SPACE Gallery opens at 7 and the show starts at 7:30. It is all ages, and the cover is $10.

Don't forget to check out the other awesome bands playing that night including Moneycastia, Passing Lane, Dysfunktional Mayhem, and DJ Graymatter. From what I hear, there will be raffle prizes that night as well! All of the money will be going toward's WMPG's Blunt Youth Radio program. If you would like to learn more about Blunt, check out Bluntradio.org.

Hope to see you there!

Support my band at The Big Easy on Sunday!

My band, Tony Smokes and the Ladykillers, will be playing at a battle of the bands show, hosted by Gorilla Productions, on Sunday, July 6th. We will be playing with other competing bands such as Pinsky, Werewolves on Wheels, The Watches, Dead By 27, and quite a few more.

The event starts at 4PM and should end around midnight. Tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door. If you would like to buy tickets in advance, please contact me on here. I will be working at the bakery at the Millcreek Hannaford from 4 to 7 tonight, so I will be able to sell you tickets there.

This will be my band's first performance at a legitimate venue. We have a pretty wild setlist prepared for all attendees. Please help support Tony Smokes and come on out to the show! See you there!

The Cheese Grater Experience comes back with a new name and new songs!

My band, The Cheese Grater Experience, has reemerged as Tony Smokes and the Ladykillers, a four-piece alternative rock band straight out of South Portland! Well, I'm sure the part about us being from South Portland has been clarified before, but it just sounded cool.

With the change of our name, we are going into a more rock-oriented direction, but that is not to say we are leaving our original eccentricity behind! We also went separate ways with our beloved keyboardist, so we wish him the best in his musical endeavors.

The most important part about our band is that we have new songs, and we have a special preview of them prepared for you in the form of a Youtube concert titled "The Youtube Concert". Enjoy!
