Step 6 - Customizing contact information
If you've not already done so, go to your web site at
http://mainetoday.koz.com/maine/yourgroupname.
If you've forgotten your alias (the last part of that web
address, "yourgroupnamehere") go to
channels & search and search by keyword or
go to the
group list and find your site in the list. (You
can use these links or the blue buttons found on any Maine
Communities Online web page.)
Next, you'll need to log in. The two fields on this screen are case sensitive, so you need to type both your username and your password exactly as you did when you created them. If you have lost or forgotten your username or password, contact Alina Blakesley at ablakes@mainetoday.com
Once you have found your web site and logged in, you'll be
able to select the "Web Site Manager" button at the top of the
homepage.
Scroll down to "Preferences" and select "Edit Web Site
Info (name, contact)"
Insert the correct name, description, and contact
information in the form provided. (You can hide contact information
from guests by checking the box to the left.)
To change the web site contact (usually the administrator) choose the "Select new contact" link.
On the next screen, you will see a list of all your
participants. Choose "Make Contact" next to the name of the person
you wish to be the new contact. (If the person you wish to designate
is not in this list, be sure to have them click the "participate"
button on your homepage to join the participants list.)
To select a style for your contact information, go to your
home page and click the "Edit Page" button.
Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Format Contact Info." On the next page, make your selection as in step 3, then choose "done."
