The Portland-based country music radio station known as The Wolf is expanding its signal into York County.
The Wolf, currently heard on 99.9 FM in greater Portland, will also be heard on 99.3 FM in York County beginning Oct. 2, said Pat Collins, vice president of Nassau Broadcasting, the station's owner.
At the same time, Nassau is changing the dial position of its classical station, WBACH. That station has been on 99.3 FM and 106.3 FM, but beginning Oct. 2 it will be heard on 104.7 FM, said Collins. He said that 104.7 FM reaches about the same area as WBACH's two current dial positions do.
Nassau is taking 104.7 FM from its rock station, The Bone. The Bone will now air on 106.3 FM, a former dial position for WBACH, and on its other current dial position, 106.7 FM.
