St. Lawrence wants your art
If you do art, St. Lawrence Arts Center can use your help. The center's planning a Just Silent Art Auction on Saturday, march 7 to benefit its daily operating expenses.
Submissions are due by Feb. 15 and there will be a preview for the sale on March 5 from 6-98 pm. The auction runs from 1-4 pm on March 7.
How does it work? Great question.
Artists set the opening bid for their pieces (between $20 and $300), and when a piece sells the artist keeps the opening bid. The difference between the opening bid and the actual price, as well as the proceeds from the tickets, go to St. lawrence.
Those tickets cost $10 (seniors and students pay $7). Children and artists who submitted work get in free.
Have something to submit? Email manager@stlawrencearts.org with a short statement about you and your art and a digital image of your work by Feb. 15. For more info, call Laura at 610-3679. Each artist can bring up to five pieces to the auction.
