CMCA wants work from craft artists
The Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport has put out a call to artists to submit work for its annual Work of the Hand crafts show and sale, to run from Oct. 10#18. This year, Work of the Hand will be celebrating its 20th year as one of Maine's most outstanding crafts shows. The postmark deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 30.

Each year, approximately 50 artists present their fine contemporary crafts in this highly-anticipated juried show and sale. CMCA's craft show committee, comprised of staff and past show organizers, will select the crafts artists to contribute to this year's show. Two distinguished, outside crafts artists will also serve on the selection panel. This year's craft jurors are Jan Muddle and Laurie Adams.
All work submitted must be original in concept and design and created entirely by the submitting artist. While the majority of participating artists typically reside in Maine, CMCA will also accept submissions from artists outside the state. For more information and a submission form, please visit CMCA's website or call (207) 236-2875.
