Fetch's $4M Idea Contest Ends April 15, 2009

1st Prize:
A year's supply of Fetch's Featured Dog or Cat Food of the Month for one dog or cat, worth up to a $60 per month

2nd Prize:
A year's worth of free self-serve dog washes, one per month, worth up to $15 per month

A local internet & catalog company with a name similar to ours, also located in Portland, recently raised another $4 million in venture capital to fund expansion of the company. As a result, there's been a lot more confusion between Fetch and this other company with the similar name, which we think is kind of funny.... Fetch is a local independent business that started on credit cards and a Downtown Portland Corporation loan in 2000....us, with 4 million dollars in venture capital?! Even some of our customers and old friends have congratulated us, thinking that we were the other company. Seemed like an irresistible opportunity to contrast what a small, independent Portland animal-focused cat & dog supply store would do to impact local animals & our pet-loving customers if we did have four million, v. what a big corporation in the same industry would do with it.

So we've invited the public to help us spend our 'virtual $4M in vc".....how could $4M make a difference in the quality of life for animals and their humans in our community?

Propose your $4M Idea and you could win a year's supply of dog or cat food for one pet, or a year of free self-serve dog washes....contest has been extended, but ends on April 15, 2009. An objective panel of professionals in the pet industry in the Portland area will be asked to weigh in on the entries. Should be interesting!

See contest rules for detailed info, but in plain English, anyone is welcome to enter and no purchase is necessary.
