MOFGA Accepting Submissions For The 2010 Common Ground Country Fair Poster Contest
The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) is accepting submissions for the 2010 Common Ground Country Fair Artwork Contest.

Each year, MOFGA hosts an artwork contest to find an illustration that captures the essence of the Fair. From the Famous to the Undiscovered, Maine artists have been submitting artwork for the iconic poster for decades.
This year's poster features heirloom apple varieties from Maine counties. Artwork by John Bunker. See a closeup.
This year's Fair will take place on September 25, 26 & 27 at MOFGA's Common Ground Education Center in Unity. John Bunker of Palermo designed the 2009 poster. His beautiful illustration features an heirloom apple variety from each of Maine counties. The poster is available from MOFGA for $10 plus shipping.
The deadline for artwork submission for the 2010 Contest is August 7th, 2009. MOFGA will use the winning design for next year's fair t-shirts, postcards, brochures and other promotional materials all over Maine.
MOFGA also will feature the winning artist in its award-winning, quarterly newspaper, The Maine Organic Farmer & Gardner, on its website -- www.mofga.org -- and in press releases and other media outreach efforts.
The winning artist will receive a $1,000 prize as well.
All entries must arrive in MOFGA's office in the town of Unity by 4 p.m. Friday, August 7th, 2009. Artists may submit two entries.
The contest is open to Maine residents, and MOFGA members regardless of residence.
