Haley Art Gallery www.haleygallery.com will be offering Power Up With PR half day workshops on monthly basis starting on Friday, September 4, 2009 9 am # 1 pm at the Gallery's Kittery location at 178 Haley Rd. in Kittery.

The workshops are designed to provide artists and creative business owners with knowledge on how to leverage cost-effective and free PR and social media tools to remain competitive in this spiraling economy. Participants will learn the basics of public relations, how to use their website as a PR tool, social media strategies for Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Blogging, as well as how to write and place press releases in the local and national media outlets. The workshops are an ideal networking opportunity for the participants to present their business # and receive PR tips and recommendations.

The workshops will be directed by Jackie Abramian, co-owner of Haley Art Gallery a 20-year PR veteran, and author of the recently published book Power Up with PR (ArtNetwork 2008). Copies of the book will be available for purchase at a reduced price. Abramian will also be available for brief one-on-one PR strategy consultations.
