The following is the schedule of events for the upcoming wepushbuttons:Electronic Music Festival, happening Sept. 23 - 27 encompassing 11 shows at 7 venues in downtown Portland. This year marks the inaugural year for this festival, which WPB hopes to make an annual event. The WPB:EMF serves to gather the community around the festival's pinnacle event, the 3rd Annual WPB Awards.

Ranging from hip hop to dub to techno, the Awards honors the exemplars of their craft in Maine; the people who are pushing buttons in order to push the envelope and further not only themselves, but their music, and their musical community. Balloting ended Friday, Sept. 11, and the winners will be honored at the wepushbuttons Awards event on September 26th at Empire Dine and Dance.

Each and every Wednesday at the Big Easy is Hip Hop Open Mic Night. To help kick off the WPB:EMF, HHOM hosts Sandbag throw a special show featuring performances by Educated Advocates, Luch & Eliza, Labseven, Slouch & Adam B. After the showcases will be open mic until last call featuring live beats straight out the samplers from Shupe and Slouch & Adam. B.
