Maine Marathon volunteers needed

& Half Marathon & Marathon Relay

Volunteer HELP!
The Maine Marathon enlists the help of more than 400 volunteers each year to help organize and support the event. Volunteers are needed in many capacities, including the following areas:
Registration setup (9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday)
Saturday registration/packet pickup (noon to 3 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m.)
Race-day registration/packet pickup (5:30 to 7:30 a.m.)
Parking assistants (6 to 7:45 a.m.)
Traffic control (times vary depending on location)
Water stops (times vary depending on location)
Chip removal at finish line (7 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Baggage check-in/check-out (6 to 7:45 a.m., 9 to 11:30 a.m., 11:30 to 2 p.m.)
Trail vehicle for second half of marathon (10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., cell phone required)
Finish area cleanup crew (2 to 3:30 p.m.)
Volunteers receive a T-shirt and a coupon for a Portland Sea Dogs ticket in 2010, and also will be entered into a drawing for one of 25 gift certificates to Peak Performance Multisport.
