Eating and Drinking in Sicily: The pleasure of pairing fine food and
fantastic wine on Monday February 22, 5:30 - 9:00 pm.

The Institute for Italian Studies is offering a cooking class to be taught by Chef Jennifer Flock, Executive Chef and General Manager at Browne Trading Market in Portland. The class will feature a variety of authentic Sicilian dishes paired with a selection of sicilian wine.

It will be held on Monday evening, February 22, 2010, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Portland, 277 Cumberland Avenue, Portland, Me (across from Portland High School). This will be a hands on class; participation fee is $95.00 per person.

Chef Flock has had a varied culinary career. She received her Culinary Degree from Johnson & Wales University, in Providence, Rhode Island. Recently she served as the Food and Beverage Director at the University Of Virginia Darden School Of Business, worked for five years at Fore Street Restaurant and is currently the Corporate Chef and General Manager of Browne Trading Market. In 2008 she became a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers and is working towards receiving the title Master Sommelier.

· Cancellation: IIS reserves the right to cancel the event if the minimum
number of participants is not reached. If you wish to cancel, IIS will
