"Secret Spaces, Historic Places"
Tour starts 6 pm Saturday, June 6, 2009
This event includes a tour of six of the most interesting sites in Biddeford, ranging from a view from the City Hall clock tower to the thirty-foot tunnel that runs beneath and through the entire Lincoln Mill complex. After the tour, there will be food, refreshments, entertainment, and an auction at North Dam Mill.The tour will take an hour to an hour and a half and is followed by appetizer-sized treats from a variety of the many downtown restaurants. The event starts at 6 P.M. at McArthur Hall, off Jefferson Street.

In her book "Farm City," she tells about turning an abandoned lot next to her inner-city home into a mini-farm. WMPG (90.9 and 104.1 FM), the University of Southern Maine's community radio station, hosts its "Watch Your Language!" game show before a live audience Sunday. The two 30-minute episodes celebrating the quirks of the English language will be broadcast later on the radio and on Community Television Network (channel 5).
