PROPEL Fashion Show and Networking Event

5:30-7:30PM Wednesday, November 4, 2009

PROPEL Fall Fashion Show, featuring all the hottest in fall and winter fashion from Serendipity and David Wood Ltd. There will be a networking event with free appetizers and a cash bar, followed by the Fashion Show and live music all evening. Cost is $10.00 Networking at 5:30PM, Fashion Show will start at 6:30PM and the event will go until 7:30PM. Since 1986 Serendipity has been successfully dressing Maine's fashionable and elegant women for business or casual wear and especially for special occasions, mother of the bride and guests. David Wood Ltd is a men's clothier and outfitter. The daughter of back-to-landers, Novella Carpenter wanted to find a way to combine living in the city with farm-fresh food. She did just that. In her book "Farm City," she tells about turning an abandoned lot next to her inner-city home into a mini-farm. WMPG (90.9 and 104.1 FM), the University of Southern Maine's community radio station, hosts its "Watch Your Language!" game show before a live audience Sunday. The two 30-minute episodes celebrating the quirks of the English language will be broadcast later on the radio and on Community Television Network (channel 5). From the set of the "Ed Sullivan Show" to Abbey Road, "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" will dazzle with five different scenes and three video screens.
