For more information about participating venues and a map of the ArtWalk, visit www.biddefordartwalk.com.

Participating Downtown Biddeford Venues:

Oh Baby! Cafe, 140 Main Street, open with live, low-key music and a bunch of new art, along with their delightful coffee and goodies.

ArtMart's Main Street Gallery, 148 Main Street, features a revolving group show of local artists.

LACAVA, 12 Water Street: LACAVA hosts artist Marsha Gibson for Biddeford’s October

ArtWalk. Marsha has been painting for years in many mediums and we are excited to show off her latest creations – reverse paintings on glass. LACAVA will be offering light refreshments.

North Dam Mill Venues:

Nora Tryon, Suite 228/Main Floor, will also be showing new work and work in progress. Stop in for light refreshments.

Eye Sun Massage, Suite 216/Main Floor: Eye Sun Holistic Massage & Eclections will be exhibiting "The Artistic Meanderings of Shay K. Ayres - Assemblage, Photography, Mixed Media". An eclectic artist in both media and training, Ayres hails from the Boston area, where she toiled diligently (but unhappily) in the corporate world for many years. Unearthing her true spirit after moving to Maine, she now toils diligently (and quite joyfully) as a mother, homemaker, massage therapist and artiste. Photographs, found objects, paint, wax, paper and textiles wend their way through much of Ayres' work, which ripples with organic texture.

Main Hallway Gallery: Joshua Yurges and Matt Mckeever will be showing in both main hallways. Yurges says, "The body of my work is varied, focusing on many different ways of constructing a "canvas": from wood strips, mounted on masonite panel or pine frame, to stitched drop clothes, and panel, exploring what a "painting" is. I've created a body of mixed media pieces exploring color, geometric pattern, and also disorganization of the pattern through ink, charcoal drawing, and acrylic washes." Mckeever’s intricate pen & ink line drawings run the gamut from organic to geometric, but oftentimes they manage to illuminate the seeming chasm between those two stylistic approaches. In addition, they’re just plain nice to look at!
