T-Minus 1 day until the Bowe clan leaves on our summer adventure. I am not naive enough to call it vacation, because a vacation it will not be. To me vacation is uninterrupted time to relax, read, and sightsee leisurely. Now adventure, on the other hand, is venturing to the unknown, being prepared to face new challenges, and hopefully enjoying yourself along the way.

As a follow up to my most recent posting, I have found a great site that gives a plethora of ideas for travel activites and products for toddlers and preschoolers.

More often than not, most ideas on traveling with kids are geared to children that can already read or have the manual dexterity and cognitive ability to play the travel games that are out there.

www.momsminivan.com has some great creative ideas that use simple and affordable materials and look like they will make time in the car pass quickly.
I personally will be trying some of them out on our upcoming trip and will let you know the results.

In a little over a week from now my family and I are traveling to Wisconsin for my sister's wedding. Some months back we decided we would drive there, due to high airfare, I know, gas prices are not so rosy, but we should still come out ahead. So all eight of us will head out on the open road in our Suburban.
