We are all psychotic-watch out!
In Saturday's Portland Press Herald there is the disturbing story about a 20 year old man who killed two sex offenders and then took his own life.
The story speculates on the killers state of mind. Most disturbing to me is this quote:
Those who are actually insane or psychotic - who hallucinate, talk to dogs, hear voices in an empty room - they usually attack at random (in places such as) a shopping mall and gun down anything that moves," Levin said.
Any readers out there who don't talk to dogs?

I suspect the reference may have been to the famous "Son of Sam" killer, David Berkowitz who didn't talk to dogs but said he got his instructions to kill his victims from a black lab named Sam who was owned by his neighbor. Those of us who have owned labs know that that idea is ridiculous...they would be far more likely to instruct us to commit armed robbery of a meat packing plant and demand only the top grades of filet mignon and sausages.

This is too funny to be upsetting. If I weren't talking to my dogs and cat, I really would be insane!

If I didn't talk to my dogs, I don't think anyone else would listen! Bouncing my thoughts and ideas off of them is exactly what keeps me sane before I make a fool of myself with unaccepting, critical and biased humans! They are so accepting when I say something that is a little off the wall!

Instead of posting HERE, why not write to the AUTHOR AND EDITOR of the paper??? Posting here is like talking behind someone's back.
What's the contact information for the author and the paper???
Geeez, stop sneaking about!!

Heck not only do I talk to the dog I sing him little songs as we take walks. He seems to like them since he prances along and sortof dances depending on the tune - grin.

Not only do I talk to dogs, but I am currently reading a book on how to teach yourself to listen (via esp) to what your dog has to say! I will be reviewing it shortly.
Not only do I talk to dogs, but I get paid to teach people how to talk to their dogs. And speaking of singing, that is a technique that I encourage people with dog/dog aggressive and reactive dogs to do. Singing little jingles helps people and dogs to relax and breathe, and the dog is less likely to pick up and feed off our nervous energy.
