Bed time photo essay

Bed time story hour at my house. The dogs always join us. Sandy (on the bed) enjoys our nightly ritual to.

Finn arrived just a bit late. He was sleeping on his bed and he was quite exhausted from our weekend away at the Brown Dog Inn. The kids, dogs and I took care of the kennel over the weekend while Holly went to her Mom's 80th Birthday party in Florida.

Sleep!

Shortly there after I heard...
"he has all the blanket, get off my feet, your hogging the bed and move dog move!" When I went back into the room, this is what I saw.

Sandy was forced to find a soft spot elsewhere, but he sure didn't go willingly.

my neice would like the name Brown Dog Inn - when she was small she was afraid of dogs. After she visited us and met our chocolate lab Jake she ammended that to; "No aunt sue, I'm NOT afraid of BROWN DOGS!"
(love your pics)

Our collie, Katie, knows the bed time routine. My son just says, "Katie, I'm ready to go to bed." Katie heads down the hall and waits in front of his bedroom door. If my son stays up a little late, Katie parks herself in front of his bedroom door as if to say, "I'm tired -- let's go to bed!" It is the sweetest thing!
