Surf Dogster!

It was purely in the interest of research that I signed up for a free account on Dogster.com after much prodding by a good friend. Not only do I vote this the doggie ‘surf site of the month', but I think it just might take the whole year!

Each dog gets a free web site where you can post pictures and facts. You can even create an online journal for your dog. There are over 60,000 dogs posted and the numbers grow daily. You will find a good mixture of kitsch, love, camp and fun.

As I said, it was purely in the interest of research, that I got Charlee’s site up and running. She has received numerous e-mails to be “pup pals” on other dogs’ sites, several e-mails from admirers, and other correspondence from friendly folk either just saying ‘hello’ or admiring my photos. When joining, or anytime thereafter, you can elect not to be part of this service.

My children liked surfing the site with me as well and were partial to the little dogs. In addition to searching the list by a specific dog’s name or city where they live, it is also possible to modify your web searches to be very specific, if you’re looking for particular breeds (or combinations of breeds).

Be sure to check out the Valentine's picture stroll.

Charlee gives this month’s ‘surf site’ 4 enthusiastic paws off the ground!
