Moving & Storage

Home and Office

Moves When planning your move, start collecting estimates and references four weeks prior to your move. The mover should send copies of previous customers as references and estimates should include all rates and charges. Office moves are typically larger, so you need to get your estimates about four to six weeks prior to your move. Have your moving representative walk through your office. This will better determine the size of the crew and trucks needed for an efficient move.

Storage and Packing

When choosing the storage consider time of year and how long you will be needing your valuables stored. Mini-storage is fine for summer and short term. Ling term and winter storage should be kept in a heated warehouse. This will protect your valuables from moisture and cold temperatures that can damage furniture. Having your mover pack your valuables is a good idea. Not only can it get done faster, plus all your valuables will be fully insured. If you are working with a budget, you can purchase packaging materials from your mover, and by packing yourself, save money. A good box is one that is taped top and bottom, thus insuring the safe move of its contents, before, during, and after the move.
